The MSc Digital Ocean at Bangor University is an innovative, multidisciplinary programme designed for students who want to harness cutting-edge digital technologies to explore, analyse, and understand the marine environment. Combining expertise in oceanography, programming, data science, and machine learning, this course equips graduates with the skills needed to address global challenges in marine science, climate change, and ocean sustainability.

Candidates are normally expected to have a minimum 2.ii Bachelors degree in a numerical science.
Graduates from other subject areas (e.g. Geography, Geology, Biology or other sciences) and those with two or more years relevant work experience are also encouraged to apply. Applications will be assessed on individual merit. Applicants are expected to demonstrate high levels of motivation and experience in their Personal Statement and CV and must have qualifications in mathematics to A-level (or equivalent) or beyond.

All applicants are expected to supply a satisfactory Personal Statement which demonstrates knowledge of the programme and a clearly stated motivation. Personal Statements written in a generic format, without reference to the programme will be rejected. All applications must be accompanied by reference. (The reference requirement is waived for recent Bangor University graduates only).
